What is Cornerstone?
Cornerstone Bible Institute is an independent Bible and ministry training school located in Hot Springs, South Dakota, fifty miles south of historic Mount Rushmore. CBI was founded in 1993 and has, from its beginning, taught that the Bible is the inspired Word of God whose central theme is Jesus Christ.
Furthermore, CBI is fundamental in its literal interpretation of the Bible and premillennial in its prophetic interpretation, teaching that Jesus Christ will rapture His church before the Day of the Lord and His glorious thousand-year reign. One aim of Cornerstone Bible Institute is spiritual maturity for its students. Accordingly, the courses are biblical, the training is practical, and the school’s focus is to reach the lost with the gospel. Programs of study include Bible and theology (the core), missions ministries, Christian education ministries, pastoral ministries, and discipleship/counseling ministries.
CBI occupies a seven-acre campus and has an enrollment of about forty. A new women’s dormitory opened in August 2010, and plans are currently being made to build a new men’s dormitory.
